I recently installed 1" drag bars on my savage. The only mods I had to make to the original controls envolved filing off a small aluminum stud in each of the switch control housings. The factory bars came with small holes, in which these studs were located. Other then that everything worked fine. I did have to use taller risers, in order for the drag bars to clear the tank when the bars were turned all the way to either side.
